Melbourne Beth Din is now authorising marriages that take place in Victoria under Orthdox auspices. The scheme is currently in a trial phase. The advantage of registering your marriage under this scheme is that a permanent record of the marriage will be retained by Melbourne Beth Din, and if it is ever necessary to verify the marriage in the future, the records will be available.
